NYC FEMMES! 1/15 need volunteers and skills to share
Dear Femmes!
The 12-2pm portion of Beyond Visibility: Illuminating and Aligning Femmes in NYC is a brunch and skillshare salon. We envision several stations of skilshares, fast and simple skills to swap, harnessing the knowledge base of Femmes.
We believe you to be a skilled Femme and hope you will consider sharing what you know with the wider NYC Femme community! Ideally each demo could take less than 10 minutes and you would be willing to stay at your station for about an hour/90 minutes while folks nosh, mingle and learn in a casual, welcoming environment.
We have the following examples of skills we thought would be good to swap but we would LOVE your input.
Eye-liner, nails, bike-tire, fake eyelashes, French twist/ braid, hang a shelf, sew
button, how to put an outfit together, Thrift Store Shopping for dummies, how to take a
good photo, how to make friends in NYC, How to Get Dates in NYC etc.

We are also looking for volunteers! We would love to find volunteers for the following:
-Arrive slightly early to physically set up the brunch/skillshare portion of the event on the day of
-Disassemble brunch portion and set up for the workshop
-Work at the welcome/registration table
-Hospitality volunteers to greet people who have entered
-American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters
-Help tidying up
