A 50”X36” extremely detailed “day of the dead” style diorama replica of the morbid children’s story, “The Gashlycrumb Tinies” by Edward Gorey. There are 26 individually lit hand-crafted “rooms,” each depicting a 5”X5”X5” scene, all collected in a custom built wooden dollhouse topped with a working clock. Although it’s primarily just for display, it includes a few interactive elements: “K is for Kate” is a working snow-globe and “S is for Susan” has a hidden switch that causes her to gyrate on the floor of her scene. It took four months of painstaking patience and hard work to create this piece, so I hope it goes to someone who will appreciate it.
